DataChrome copyright CHROMA 1995/6
Program Ed Morley
Concept Steve Hall
FREE RELEASE 1.0a
Update Aug '96 for Future Publishing
-------
Additions to User Guide
---------------------
.Guide files on this disk require AmigaGuide
or Multiview to be in your C: drawer.
Install scripts require the standard Installer provided
for WB3.xx - in your C: drawer.
The JFIF Datatype by Christoph Feck of Tower Systems
includes a progress window and a Prefs option for
different display modes. (It's also quite fast).
Now licensed for commercial distribution by CHROMA.
For this release of DataChrome, the datatypes are to
be kept in the format of their original archive to satisfy
license restrictions.
Follow the JFIF documentation to install this datatype. It
includes extra files in Libs, Codecs, Prefs etc. You WILL
need to remove existing JPEG datatypes to use it.
The GIF datatype on this disk is by Michael Zucchi. Permission
to distribute this datatype with the package has been
granted by the author.
Note that the "DataConvert" command is not included with
this free release. See Upgrade Doc on this disk.
Latest Info for DC 1.0a
-----------
If you've the "Amiga.info" datatype installed, you could
encounter problems when DataChrome intercepts "open file"
system calls. Keep it in Storage until it's needed, or
just de-activate DataChrome.
Make sure you install BOTH parts of the Datatypes into
Classes/ and Devs/ - some Datatypes also require extra
(ie more than 2) files to work. There's an Install script
on this release, which will copy the PCX,BMP and GIF
datatypes to WB. For the JPEG install script, look in
the JFIF drawer.
Thanks to Amiga Shopper for the nice review (82%)
Similarly, thanks go to AUI magazine (80%)
Many thanks Charles & Sarah-Jane at AUI
Thanks Amiga Plus Germany (editor's recommendation)

An appeal
---------
Innovative ideas are planned for future releases of
this package.
Only with your support can they come to fruition.
Chroma's software is reasonably priced.
Chroma is a very small publishing house.
We're not rich people.
Please don't rip US off by copying our software
for someone who hasn't bought it. Thankyou.
The Amiga has a second (third ?)chance - let's ALL get it
right this time....
